Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved in the Mighty Acorns program. Become a partner, Mighty Acorns school, volunteer, donor or sponsor to benefit our communities’ students.

Whether you are a local business or an interested teacher, opportunities abound to help Mighty Acorns thrive and expand across the region. Together, we can ensure that more students have the opportunity to experience Mighty Acorns.

Partner Providers

Partners Providers consist of federal, state, county and local agencies, educational institutions, not-for-profit agencies and foundations that provide and/or support the mission of the Mighty Acorns program and are willing to commit resources to the vision and mission of Mighty Acorns. Schools

Mighty Acorns connects 3rd-5th grade classrooms with a local natural area partner, curriculum, and provides coordinating support. Mighty Acorns is, by design, a collaborative program.  Teachers and administrators provide the critical link to the classroom for this field-based program. [more information]

Sponsors

The Mighty Acorns Partnership would not be possible without our generous sponsors. Sponsors support the partnership and program at various levels and are recognized in many different ways. Contact Soledad Maristany at smaristany@fieldmuseum.org for more information.

Volunteers

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own unique skills to the program to further enrich the students’ field experience. It is not necessary for volunteers to be experts in ecology, birding or botany.  More important are an openness to and enthusiasm for the natural world and ability to relate well to children. Donate

Make a gift today and you can help get more partners and schools involved with Mighty Acorns. Donations support transportation to and from field study sites, program fees and teacher trainings. By supporting Mighty Acorns, you’ll help us achieve lasting results for nature and young conservation leaders. Thank you! Contact Soledad Maristany at smaristany@fieldmuseum.org for more information.
