Partnership

Mighty Acorns’ success is built on strong partnerships between non-profit organizations and foundations, educational institutions, government agencies and schools. Together, partners collaborate and share resources to have a lasting impact on thousands of students each school year.

The aim of the Mighty Acorns Partnership is to work together to build each other’s capacity and meet the program mission using best practices for environmental and science education. Partner providers have a formal relationship with the natural areas where they host stewardship field trips and work with schools and other youth groups to facilitate field trips to said areas. The Field Museum supports Mighty Acorns partners through providing professional development, linking partners to field trip audiences, and supporting fundraising efforts for Mighty Acorns programs. Due to this support from the Field Museum and the partners engaged in the Mighty Acorns Partnership, there are over 20 program providers across four states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Your organization could be one of them. Contact the Mighty Acorns Partnership Coordinator today if you are interested in providing this time-tested environmental education program for youth in your community!
